Venice’s fish market turns into an exclusive supper club at dusk
We were briefed by Gagosian and White Cube to throw an exceptional party in an unusual location for their guest of honour, Damien Hirst.
For one night only, we transformed the Rialto market, an historic fish market that still sells the daily catch to Venetians and their restaurants.
Live cooking by pasta makers and sashimi artists created entertainment and intrigue. The 500 VIP guests enjoyed a fine dining experience along Venice’s Grand Canal.
As ever, thorough planning was of the essence. At midday the last fishmongers finished trade. Guests arrived in the early evening, and at 4am it was an operational fish market once again.
