Construction scaffolding becomes a mirrored work of art
An otherwise unsightly stretch of scaffolding became a new piece of public art in Covent Garden.
When Capco needed to redevelop part of Covent Garden’s historic market building, we were tasked with turning the scaffolding into a work of art without impeding its functionality.
The scaffolding in its entirety was clad in polished aluminium to create a series of mirrors. Passers-by caught glimpses of themselves among angular reflections of the buildings and sky.
