Covent garden Mistletoe

Forty garlands of mistletoe and 80,000 pea lights glow from above

2015 was the 7th consecutive year Sculptivate brought Christmas to Covent Garden. This time, we were given a sketch by the legendary production designer, Michael Howells, and were entrusted to make it a reality.

Forty magnificent mistletoe chandeliers lit up the iconic market hall, adorned with 700 glowing berries, along with a further 80,000 pea lights, 200 baubles and 20,000 lights on one of London’s tallest Christmas trees.

To invite visitors into the heart of the market, we outlined buildings with a 3km string of festoon lighting.

Performances by the Royal Ballet and Royal Opera Chorus accompanied the dramatic switch on moment. It was named the #1 sight to see in London that Christmas, according to Time Out.

A prancing, shining reindeer – one of the season's most favourite instagranimal!

The glowing mistletoe spectacle continues to delight yuletide visitors to Covent Garden. First displayed in 2015, every year since we add something new to this special Christmas collection.
